Hi,
Refer QW 405.2. If you qualify a welding procedure in 3G position, it will qualify in all position. The logic behind is, the maximum heat input will be in 3G position. If you proove the notch toughness in 3G, your weld is guaranteed in all position.
If impact testing is not required, you can qualify a Welding procedure in any position.
