This requirement in project specification itself, I can do this using comb gauge measuring WFT while paint in wet condition by calculating equivalent DFT. But what to do for prevailing painted surface.
Also I can manage by random check with PIG but I don't want to damage the coating.
Exactly my question is shall I use Non-ferrous gauge which work on eddy current principle?
Can this will work out?
Can this will work out?

why it is required? our area of interest is the thickness of fire proof coating only, not in the weather proof coating on top right?you can convince the client.
