Hye, At relaince jamnagar's SRU (Sulfur Recovery Unit), we r facing severe blistering problems at top half (above catalyst bed) of claus bed adsorption (CBA) reactors. The metallurgy is SA516 Gr-70 + 250-300 microns of aluminisation. The operating tempetature is cyclic in nature due to inherent characteristics of CBA cycle. It varies from 150 deg C & 340 deg C. The aliminisation coating gets peeled off especially near top half inlet nozzles & manways. Also at long seams & circ seams at top half, the coating gets peeled off and further corrosion on exposed based metal takes place. Plz share similar experiences and solutions to avoid these problems.. Regards, Jitesh |
