It depends on requirements to the weld metal.

In cases 3Cr12 is in atmospheric environment, 307 filler metal can be good / better solution, if other composition is allowed.

Since 3Cr12 is ferritic, grain growth should be limited in HAZ. Low heat input.
I would suggest to concern MIG 307 solid wire.
Without PWHT.
With 307 filler metal, preheating is only required in thickwalled sections and / or with high restraint.
For 6-8 mm I would suggest 50 degr°C preheat.

E(R)410 filler metal have poor mechanical properties in as welded condition.
These E(R)410 filer metals need higher preheat temp, and for better mechanical properties in weld metal PWHT is necessary.

Herman, could you (independent consultant) avoid brand names?

Dear Rupesh,

As you can read on the datasheet of Autokompu this material
(properties) are according to EN 10088-2 which is an European
Standardand, so it isn't a ASME or ASTM material.
The designation 3Cr12 could be a brand name of some companies but it
is also the official designation according to the latest EN
classifications. The EN designation mentioned on the Outokumpu
datasheet is not the EN designation but a so called
"Werkstoffnummer" (material number) which are classified according
German standards for which the most already are replaced by newer
European standards, because as you will know Germany is part of
Europe. Most companies still mention this material number on there
datasheets because most people will recognize the material number
1.4003 because this was common used in the past.
In my opinion Autokumpo gives all the necessay information to draw up
a WPS for welding this kind of materials. Especially when you look
under the chapter "Production" filler metals are mentioned as well as
precautions regarding heat imput (especially for thin wall
thicknesses). As an example for filler metal I can suggest Böhler FOX
KW 10 (AWS E 410) for the SMAW process or Thermanit 14 K Si (AWS ER
410).
Be aware of the problems caused by the chromium content and therefore,
espacially for larger thicknesses, preheating is required up to 200 ­
°C and also PWHT is recommended (but not required), for example 750
°C / 2 hours / cooling down in furnace. If the cooling rate after PWHT
is to high the microstructure afterwards may consist of Martensite in
stead of Ferrite.
I would suggest you have to made some test welds first when you don't
have expirience with this kind of material, especially because grain
growth can cause reduction of your mechanical properties. I don't know
how you should weld this 6 - 8 mm exacly because I only have
expirience welding larger thickness castings (wall thicknesses 30 -
100 mm) in similar material and for such thicknesses you get complete
different cooling rates during welding.
