I will try to avoid brand names in the future and only mention EN and/
or AWS codes. By the way does Airliquide have a wide range of filler
metals for special alloys?
I'm especially interested in filler metals for GMAW welding of Duplex
1.4470 and Super Duplex 1.4469 / 1.4517 castings. I'm also interested
in filler metal to weld a special patented heat / creep resistant
alloy for which AWS A5.11 E NiCrCoMo 1 (SMAW) or AWS A5.14 ER NiCrCoMo
1 (GMAW) is prescribed (normally used for Inconel 617). Within a few
months we will start with casting special parts for which we need this
filler metal. Important to know is that for us it is standard
procedure to execute repair welding on the castings before final
solution heat treatment (1050 - 1130 °C), we also have to qualify a
PQR for this.
