RE: [MW:32195] Procedure for the welding Electrode testing

Welding consumable testing requirements are always as per ASME Sec II, Pt-C. See the extracts on the testing requirements for E-6010 electrodes. E-7010 electrodes are covered under SFA 5.5. Usually welding qualification codes e.g., Sec-IX deals with welding procedure & performance qualifications only. Welding consumables have to be tested or the Certificate of Conformance is to be issued by consumable manufacturer, not by the fabricator.

Hope this clarifies your query.

Thanks.

Welding electrode testing is available in ASME Sec.IIC.

If you want to be specific please provide the below details

1. Welding process

2. AWS Classification for eg like E 7018 etc..

3. Diameter of welding electrode
