I need complete detail or reports for successful cladding welding..

What are the quality controls usually applied for a cladding welding / pipe weld joint?

What are the possible problems that may occur during the welding of cladding?

The question raised based on avoiding even Single weld defects?

Special technique / Application

 

Sour Service & non Sour service.

Base material - A333 Gr 6 + UNS N06625, API 5L Gr B + UNS N06625, API 5L X52 PSL2 SMLS + UNS N08825

Pipe Size Range- 1. 0.5" to 8" Thickness -2.77 mm to 6.02 mm

                             2. 0.5" to 4" Thickness -3.73 mm to 8.56 mm

                             3. 6" & Above Thickness -10.97 mm to 30.18 mm

Application/ Process – GTAW + SMAW 

Joint Type –Butt, Branch Conn, Fillet, Socket

Alloy Type -625 / 825

Clad/overlay – 3 to 5 mm

With PWHT / with PWHT

Applicable Code- ASME 31.3, Sec IX, SAES-0W-11
