[MW:28836] Re: API 1104 Internal Clamp and External Clamp

As per API-1104 it is essential,

1) if you have both WPS,you can just change your reports.
2) if it is welded with internal clamp instead of external,then it is more stringent..and it is acceptable.
3) if is welded with external clamp instead of internal clamp,then it is not acceptable.
    # support to cut out
    # extra NDT (RT+UT) can be suggested.

External clamp and internal clamp WPS and PQR procedures are qualified with downhill process and uphill process respectively.  But one joint has welded with internal clamp following  all other variables as of external clamp WPS


Is this acceptable ? If yes , how can we justify ?
