S355J2 material is not assigned with any P or Group nos, so in this case you cannot use the same, please advice what is your pipe material,  however in any case if you would like to use S355J2 you will have to qualify welding procedure as this is unassigned material. for A36 it is Pno-1 & Group no-1 which you can use without any issue.

Can we use S355J2+N plate instead of ASTM A36 plate for pipe support fabrication. In my opinion, S355J2+N is higher grade steel but will there be any problem with client acceptance ?
