Hello Vanchinath,
The qualified procedures looks good and are in conformance with QW-217(b) , where the clad thickness is not included in the design and the clad is considered for corrosion resistance only. In addition to QW-217(b) one has to meet all the applicable requirements of QW-453.

Dear Experts,
I am presenting a case for which I would like to have your valuable comments:
Case: clad equipment - Base material- CS (P1) 25mm thk,
clad material -- SS 316L , 3 mm thk
PWHT- required for the whole equipment ( base + clad)
clad provided for corrosion , not included in design calculation
Welding qualification carried out: 1) for base material with PWHT , 2) for restoration of cladding overlay procedure done on CS(P1) for 316L weld. with PWHT
Is above qualified procedures OK for the equipment as per ASME Section IX para QW 217 (b).
