Its not only WPS matter, welder also need to be qualified with respect to the approved WPS.

I think you may check and find suitable sWPS from ASME Sec. IX  and  submit it for approval to your client for only this job.

Please comment on the issue, Pipe to Shoe support fillet welding - Have WPS for SMAW process, can a welder do pipe to shoe support fillet welding in GTAW process.

Please note that for this specific project we don't have a wps qualified for GTAW process, only qualified wps for SMAW process.
