Dear Welding Experts,--I need your advice to weld SA 182 Gr. F11, P No. 4 Gr. 1 as per ASME-IX, Pipe to Cap Joint of 2 " , 8mm Thk., Single V Groove weldusing SFA 5.28 , ER80S-B2 GTAW Filler, trade name T-80SB2, Kiswel, a Korean manufacturer.1) As we do not have Client Spec for welding, I have checked in ASME- II C, Table-7, underClass ER80S-B2, the Min. preheat is 135 Deg C and Max InterPass is 165 Deg C. this isjust a recommendation only right ?2) On the same table 7, under Notes C, it states, Prior to PWHT, can I follow the samestatement in Notes C and send the material even after 1 day for PWHT after welding,by proper post heat given in Notes C.Because the PWHT location is quite far from our workshop.) is there any chance of crack, if preheat comes below 135 Deg C, during welding ?If you have any spec to weld this material, please share with me .Regards,Saravanan,Korea
