Dear Welding Experts,

I need your advice to weld SA 182 Gr. F11, P No. 4 Gr. 1 as per ASME-IX,  Pipe to Cap Joint of 2 " , 8mm Thk., Single V Groove weld

using SFA 5.28 , ER80S-B2 GTAW Filler, trade name T-80SB2, Kiswel, a Korean manufacturer.

1) As we do not have Client Spec for welding, I have checked in ASME- II C, Table-7, under
Class ER80S-B2,  the Min. preheat is 135 Deg C and Max InterPass is 165 Deg C. this is
just a recommendation only right ?

2) On the same table 7, under Notes C, it states, Prior to PWHT, can I follow the same
statement in Notes C and send the material even after 1 day for PWHT after welding,
by proper post heat given in Notes C.

Because the PWHT location is quite far from our workshop.

) is there any chance of crack, if preheat comes below 135 Deg C, during welding ?

If you have any spec to weld this material, please share with me .

Regards,
Saravanan,
Korea
