Dear All,
For one of our Compressor in Propylene service (MDMT = -48 Deg C), Vendor selected A 203 Gr. E material.
After order placement, Vendor has requested the following :
"Inlet Endplate is 170mm thick, and Discharge Endplate is 178mm thick.
In order to secure Low-temperature toughness for over 170mm thickness plate, we need modify weight percent of Nickel to 3.25-4.5%., instead of ASTM A203 standard as 3.25-3.75%. "
Could you please check and provide more input to accept/reject the proposal of Vendor.
