[MW:10409] RT with IR 192 for thickness 100 mm

Dear Sirs

We have to conduct RT on butt weld of plate thickness 100 mm. For this Co60 source is required. But since the norms are very stringent and has to be done at a very short notice, CO60 source can not be obtained.

I am told that there is some RT technique using dual films which let us use IR 192 source instead of CO60.

Please share with me whether it is possile, what technique is it and where can i get an appropriate write up from.

Regards,
PRV
