RE: [MW:4020] LIP type nozzle to shell/Head weld joint category as per ASME

Request to check up figure UW 16.1 f (1) to (4) of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, this gives acceptable type of joints for nozzle to shell, head (category D joints)

As per ASME code Sec.VIII Div.1,2&3, the same is Category D.
The category tells us about the location of the joint in a pressure vessel. Not the lip type of weld geometry.
