RE: [MW:3939] Metal Composition

Hi Mr. Mehta,
 
Would you please be able to specify the intended use of this steel, e.g Structural, boiler pressure  vessels, offshore piping, or tubular,,,, etc. The easiest way would be to get the steel analyzed with an Alloy analyzer (e.g Niton or Others). All alloy analyzers have an in built database of the nearest matching compositions and the grade of steel, which are built in to their database.
 
Once you know the nearest grade , that would be the place to start for further information e.g Specifications, mechanical properties... etc.

Carbon:  0.25

Sulphur: 0.021

Phosphorus: 0.028

Manganese 0.85

Silicon: 0.21

Chromium: 0.08

Nickel: 0.11

Moly: 0.02

(all in %)
