Try this; prepare mock ups with open cross sections and plot what you see in the D-meter against what you can measure by a vernier with a bit of etching the edges.You will get some clue and from there you can get going. Not difficult really. Good luck, Shashank Vagal

Dear, If you want exact measurement, it is better to produce similar calibration block of same material and as cladded to calibrate your D-Meter. But, as cladding use to be less thick you may not find much difference while velocity is concern in thickness measurement. (note the cladding fussion zone problems) Sharief
