On such configuration, UT Shear wave may applied, and the ASME VIII specifies the criteria for it as RT is not suitable,

Regarding above mentioned subject, i would like to seek the best NDT method to apply on floating head weldment based on requirement of codes such as ASME VIII Div. 1 or API 660 or TEMA. Attached herewith is a sketch for the joint configuration based on ASME VIII mandatory appendix 1 fig. 1-6 (d). I really need your help and expertise. If you don't mine, could you specific which code and clauses referred..Thank you in advance..
