[MW:2877] Wheathering steel weld

Dear all,

I would like to have information concerning the essential cares (Preheating, PWHT, etc) to weld wheathering steel beams. In addition, it was set that the beams should get together with a short pipe of SAE 1020 steel. Would this dissimilar metal weld not induce to a galvanic corrosion (caused by the different cathodic and anodic areas and an off shore atmosphere? For GMAW procedure, which kind of filler metal should I use, mainly in terms of final microstructure?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Simone.
