The photograph shows clear slag entrapped inside and on the sides. Polish the specimen to get a clear picture. Check out your voltage, and travel speed.  Those are the areas of improvement.

Thickness 50 mm
Weld process SMAW + SAW using E7018-1 & EM12K wire
