Re: [MW:25206] RE: 25195] PQR Qualification.

I did not follow the topic since the beginning but it is completely wrong that "F&A grouping are majorly for welder / operator qualification and not to consider in PQR.|".
F & A No are Essential Variables for Procedure Qualification (check QW 404.4 & 404.5).
A no is not an essential variable for welders/operators qualification
The ranges of approval for  A no in the case of procedure qualification are much more stringent that in the case of welder qualification.
Please read the Code carefully

Hi,

It will not qualify…

As F no & A No are not only the criteria for acceptance…

F&A grouping are majorly for welder / operator qualification and not to consider in PQR.

Need to go for a fresh PQR.

Subject: [MW:25195] PQR Qualification.

All,

Please advice me in the following.

ASME IX :2013

Weld coupon base material P8 (ASTM A240 TP 316) to P1 (S333 Gr. 6)

FCAW: Filler metal Bohler CN 23/12 Mo PW-FD (E309LMoT1-4)

Does this PQR qualify a weld joint P8 (ASTM A240 TP 304) to P8 (ASTM A240 TP 304)

by changing filler metal into E308LT1-1 for both F No. 6 and A No. 8

Follow Table QW 255 Ø P-number qualified article 403.11 -> article 424.1 I should say no, but am I right ????

Diameter and thickness are in range.

Thank you.
