Dear Sir,
This situation can be handled by using one weld as "golden joint".Golden joint is that joint of which hydrotesting will not/cannot be done. The concept of in process inspection is applied in this joint.
Hydrotesting of the pipe line is done in convenient sections and the connecting joints ( Which will be welded after hydrotest) are treated as "Golden Joint".
In many cases Permanent flanges are not allowed in such long length Piping because of the chances of leak in future due to gasket failure.

Subject: [MW:25179] Pipeline hydro test sectioning.
Does any specific requirement for hydro test sectioning method?
If pipeline is going more than 100 KM how do we handle the hydro test?
I suppose it is not possible to test one time due to the cost and time.
My question is as below;
1. The permanent flanges are required for sectioning for test? Or normally it is done by temporary flange?
2. If we need permanent flanges for test, how can I choose the location of flange?
