For hit working:
You can heated from 400 F to 700 F

For cold working consider that:

AL 5083 is readily cold worked by conventional methods. In the annealed (O temper) condition plate of 0.250 " thick can be bent on 1.5 T radius.

Dear Experts,

I need your expert advice on following:

We are working with Aluminium Al 5083 H-112 grade material. Presently, while doing cold bending/rolling of 57 mm plate of it to make it into cylinder we are experiencing that the OD/ID is not achieving as per reqiurements. Can we do the correction it in this case by flame heating as we generally do with the similar jobs of Mild steel.
If it is, then what should be the heating temerature and the duration of heating?
If there is any alternative method to repair/manufacture it using cold working?

Best Regards
Sushant Thakur
