Re: [MW:13125] why phenumatic test is more critical than hydro test?

Dear MPK,

Major reason for air test is to check the water tightness, hydro test is for integrity(strength) of the structure or piping

Dear MPK,

air is compressible. it leads in to rupture, if the test fails, which makes the pressure vessel unrepairable whereas in liquid the most cases will end in small failure which can be repairable.
