Thanks for the response,
I had the exp., taking CVN sample in Pipe K joint, toe &sides,due to actual qualification difficulties.
But the in DNV spec, it showing that, CVN samples from the Plate T-joints,
It is possible only, if the thickness of the materials is more than 30 mm . Nevertheless, i'm planing to go for the Pipe to Pipe joint configuration, rather than the Plate T- Config.

In one of my past Nuclear assignments,i had conducted a PQR of Pipe # Plate with full penetration. It was a class 1 component for a nuclear reactor as per ASME Sec III NB.
The PQR testing requirements were as per client specifications only i.e we had to do only UT and macro.In those specs. the joint geometry and welding position during procedure qualification was an essential variable !
