It depends on the corrosive media and service temperature and whether or not you carry out pickling and/or passivation after welding.
More critical the application (like Critical pharmaceutical piping systems) and More severe the service conditions, go for lower Oxygen concentrations...
More effective the pickling and/or passivation procedure, you can allow higher Oxygen concentrations...

In MIG welding i found contamination is very lass as compared to TIG welding without purging.
