I am involved in one of the Onshore pipeline project , we are going to execute the welding with Automatic and SMAW process ,and NDE by AUT - Phases arrays .
we have reference in the specification for AUT for Auto welding and Manual welding ,
- API -1104
- ASTM E1961
- ASTM E 164
- DNV -OS-F101
My queries is that , the above reference code / standard to be use for the AUT , except DNV , i can understand the involvement of the API and ASTM but not about the DNV because if is for offshore service.
the client / PMC is not ready to understand the and asking to have the reference for AUT from DNV aslo in the Testing of equipment and Procedure.
we have the option to for ECA ( engineering critical assessment) and which shall be effect on the AUT procedure etc.
so , i need the some one have been faced such problem before , where ever the AUT procedure has to be evalute with two code reference i.e. API and DNV and ECA has beeen involved.
