Elimination of spatter in GMAW process(solid wire) is not possible because it is inherent process related issues, but we can minimize the spatter level.
To minimize ,and if ur are not particular about bead shape and penetration, pl go for mixture of shielding gas to 95% Argon+ 5% CO2 with voltage more than 28

spatter in GMAW occured due to the globular metal transfer during welding. set the welding parameters to achieve spray metal transfer otherwise use synergic power sourse for weldingThanks and Regards

Hi Weldexerts,
I am looking for ideas to eliminate spatters in GMAW welds using solid copper coated wire and argon85%,CO2. 15% gas. We weld 4000 pcs a day and spatter removal is a pain.
