Ther is composite film technique in which you need to place two fims in each cassette and carry oue th RT with IR- 192, while reviewing the film both film needs to keep together in order to get the desired density and sinsitivity. With this method you exposure time also gets reduced.
Please refer ASME SEC V for the composite film technique method.
Also could you please let know what strength source(IR 192) do you have and whether the vessel on which you need to carry out the RT is closed from all the side.

Dear Sirs
We have to conduct RT on butt weld of plate thickness 100 mm. For this Co60 source is required. But since the norms are very stringent and has to be done at a very short notice, CO60 source can not be obtained.
I am told that there is some RT technique using dual films which let us use IR 192 source instead of CO60.
Please share with me whether it is possile, what technique is it and where can i get an appropriate write up from.
Regards,
PRV
