[MW:10115] WELDED FITTINGS WITH TWO SEAM WELD

Dear all,

We ordered welded Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel fittings (45 & 90 degrees ELBOW, TEE, REDUCER … ) according to ASTM A234 and ASTM A403, but the manufacturer offered welded type with  two seam for above 12" & 16" for Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel respectively.

According to ASTM A234, ASTM A403 and ASTM A960, I have not seen anything related to number of seam weld.

Now my questions are :

1-In which specification or Standard has been specified that welded fittings should be one seam or two seam weld?

2-Whether welded Fittings with two seam are acceptable or not ? if yes, under which condition?

Kind Regards,
