[MW:1091] Fabricating 350 x 300 Reducer

MMWA can be used to fabricate such miter reducers, however an additional thing to be noted is that it is not in acc. with B31.3 which is also applicable for geothermal piping. And should be designed as per ASME sec 8. Also 31.3 para 304.6 to be noted on reducers.

With regards,
Kannan

[MW:1085] Fabricating 350 x 300 Reducer

Hi,

Is it possible to fabricate a 350 x 300 reducer from Pipe, ASTM 106, Sch XS, manually using MMWA, All position welding, and use it on Geothermal Piping of Steam? The live steam temperature is 158 deg.Celcius in the pipe and discharges at 100 deg. Celsius. Can anyone explain why it is not so or can be used?

Thank you,
