M indicates Unit of measurement (SI units) please find below abstract of ASTM A 320- 21a, same Clause may present in A 216 also.
"1.6 This specification is expressed in both inch-pound units and SI units; however, unless the purchase order or contract specifies the applicable M specification designation (SI) units, the inch-pound units shall apply."

Normally we offer A216-WCB/WCC however this time the requirement comes with A216M-WCB/WCC.
Please advise and any document that explains the difference?
