[MW:33939] Regarding qualification as per ASME Sec IX supports the material

Hi Experts,

Greetings!

We have welding of material grade SB 410 with SA 105 (P1 Group 1) & SB 410 to SB 410  as per attached drg.

3rd stage heater (5).bmptubesheet to channel.bmp

SB 410 is not classified in ASME Sec IX. It is classified in JIS G 3103.

I want to know if you have experience or advice can I support ASME Sec IX procedure qualification for this material combination.

If I can't support the existing Procedure from P1 to P1 material combination then what is the way out to qualify this material as per ASME Equivalent or mandatorily I'll have to qualify new procedure for this combination.

Regards,
