Dear all,

what will happen to the grains of a ferritic stainless-steel type AISI 405 used as an attachment of a hanger bar in a boiler, when it is exposed to flame temperatures of the boiler for 4 years of continuous operation? It is understood that the 405 steel will not oxidize in the high-temperature service environment.

Emad
