[MW:30190] Weld Proximity Analysis support required

Dear Experts,

For one of our project, we have done welding for various sizes ( 2", 3" , 4" , 6", 10" 14".16" with Min 5.5 T to Max 12.7 T ) of A106 Gr.B to A105N Flanges with Circ. Seams of 68 units, out of that only 10 units were done PWHT as per client requirements,

as per the attached photo and also 2 number of CS 1/2" Nipples with an A105N Adaptor of 36 mm Dia welded on the pipe,

but one of the adaptor weld touches the right end Circ. Seam, referring to the photo .

During design, we over looked it and all the design and drawings approved by owner, the design is as per ASME B31.3 2016 ED. the WPSs were approved, so fabrication was done and Hydrotest also done.

Now, before delivery, the Owner has sent their welding spec , which they have not sent EVER before and the spec mentions that min 50 mm gap to be maintained.

So, we recommended with a TQ for a Simulation Test to prove that the hardness on weld and HAZ not to exceed 248 HV 10 as per their spec.

But the owner needs Weld Ligament Analysis to be done for a detailed Engineering Analysis to prove the weld design is OK to proceed.

We do not have enough experience to perform  Weld Ligament Analysis in Korea.

Could you please suggest website Or a link with similar scenario for a Residual Stress check, acceptance range of welds, X-Ray Diffraction machine possibilities etc.

Thanks and Regards,
Saravanan Sornam,
Korea
