hi i need some info as per experience and asme sec8 div1..
1.if dishead is cold form and fe >5% than pwht to be done ucs 79
2.if pwht required for vessel fe can be upto40% ucs79
3.if fe>5% and dish head is hot formed ...
Q-1. Is it compulsory that hot forming should be done at temprature above lower critical temprature?
Q-2 if temprature is more than 480 than normalizing to be done for hot forming dish head with ucs 85 simulation test coupon?
Q-3 at what thickness hot forming, cold forming to be done dnt use the Eil specification?
Q-4 if dish head is hot formed fe>5% than also only pwht to be done as per ucs 79
