Dear Experts,
Please do clarify the following:
1. When determining magnetizing current as per ISO 9934-1, calculation are for RMS value in case of time varying currents [i.e.AC and HWDC]
How to recognize MPI machines with analogue or digital meters reads what type of value, whether RMS, peak or mean. As the standard suggest knowing these information from equipment manufacturer. In general NO information regarding this is available in the equipment manual.
Being an inspector/operator how can it be simply recognized in the absence of details from the equipment manufacturer ??
2. ASME SEC V Art 7 provides formula for current calculations, and it is NOT specified that the calculated value is of RMS, or peak [as like it is given in ISO 9934-1]
Please clarify is it indicate RMS or peak?
