This is strictly a customer requirement. Except for a very few extreme conditions, this is unnecessary and all costs should be born by the customer.

Subject: [MW:23408] ASME Part II C- Difference between Lot and Batch Testing of welding conumables
Dear Experts
Pls breakdown the difference and limitation of its applicability.
I was told Lot No used in PQR Qualification need to be the same used for Production Welding.
I mean it is neither essential or supplementary essential variable
Does Design/Construction Codes such as ASME B31.3 or AWS D1.1/ AWS D1.16 have any restrictions?
Pls advise
Thanks
