[MW:13558] Gasket fixing with grease

Dear Experts,
I need your suggestion for this matter, During the hydro test preparation in CS Pipe (ASTM A106Gr.B) Sub-contractors are fixing the ring gasket with grease, It is acceptable, it is mentioned anywhere in the code, We are following B31.3
Any type of gaskets can fix with grease for hydrotest?
