[MW:13157] Clarification on U & PP Stamp for Boiler Down Comer Reg.,

Dear ASME friends,

 

We have a supplier, Who supplies Boiler Shell,Steam Drum and Down comers. The Downcomer pipes used to connect Boiler Shell and Steam drum at site by some other contractor.

 

I like to know, whether assembly and welding of down comer piping at site comes under PP Stamp

 or,

we can make under U Stamp category considering total assembly is one unit, if so then we may have to issue MPDR's at shop for Boiler Shell and Steam drum and finally MDR at site.
