Re: [MW:4536] Why maximum PWHT temp shall be at least 20°C less than tempering temp.

The intention to keep PWHT temperature below (2o Deg C or 50 Deg F) then the Tempering temperature of plates to ensure that the properties (such as tensile, impact and hardness) obtained after tempering (during plate manufacturing stage) remain unaltered.
