hi all,
I'm encountering an interesting situation. My WPS progression is as follows
RP-up, Hot- up, fill & cap - downhill.
(dia-36" No of welders =2,Mat=API 5LX70, code = api1104,toughness and hardess requirements)
Now after root pass due to some unavoidable conditions the pipe has been rotated 90 degrees (12 o clock rotated to 3 o clock). Now considering one half
section of the pipe half portion is welded uphill with one welder and half downhill with the other welder
a) What should be the progression of next pass
b) How the welders must be allocated
c) What area (if required) must be selected for hardness and impact toughness testing.
hope the experts will comment
