Is not suitable that 2 welds share a HAZ, since that the minumun distance should be 2 times HAZ.

Distance between two welds to be mentioned in Project specification of piping.None of the codes and standards specify this.

we should maintain min distance the reason is HAZ should not be overlaped and to avoid stress concentration ,In best of knowledge we have to mantain min 1 inch between seam to seam and seam to elbow and adjacent welds .
