You cannot TIG weld galvanized material.  The zinc will immediately leave the material and stick to the tungsten.

MIG will work fairly well, but you may have some porosity issues intermittently.  Look into self-shielded flux-cored wires (FCAW) for best resistance to porosity.  There are several wires out there specifically designed to weld galvanized material.

Although MIG and TIG are both "arc" processes, I assume that you mean SMAW.  This would not be a recommended process for that thickness of steel.
