I would like to add: Check you hoop stress as designed, if I am not wrong if the design is below 20% of hoop stress, API does not ask for pipe pressure

As per B31.8 considering worst situation of Zone 3 & 4 the min pressure at which Hydro is to be done is 1.4XMOP(max operating pressure) and max at which the hydro can be done is either at a design pressure or at a pressure more than the design pressure.For example if DP is 92 and MOP is 45 then min hydro pressure is 1.4X45=63 but if you carry out Hydro at 150 then your max ALLOWABLE operating pressure becomes 150/1.4=107 but since it is more than DP i.e.92 MAWP shall be only 92 and not 107.

by to ASME Bb31.3 the pressure test  must be according to the vessel or equipment design but i can't ind answer of my question in B31.8 (gas transmission piping......)
