There is Nozzle of 20" dia should be welded with the Tank shell ( A fillet Joint). What should be the max allowable gap between shell and Nozzle.
Is 4mm gap is allowed?

Hi Everyone,We will have to do pipe to pipe connection through flanges. Our Pipe is 400 mm ID/ 8 mm thick MS Pipes. Fluid is chilled water from 7 to 25 Deg C. The Pressure on the Pipe Shall be 11 KG/cm2. I am primarily referring 2 standards: ASME B31.3 & MSS SP-44. B31.3 is primarily for the process Pipes. So I want to understand:1) For chilled water can we refer any other standard other than 31.32) For pipe Flanges other than Standard of MSS SP-44 can we refer anything3) Does IS/ BS Standard which refer flanges in Table give any reference to Pipe to pipe flange StandardThanking you in AnticipationRegards,Siril--
