Hi Everyone,

We will have to do pipe to pipe connection through flanges. Our Pipe is 400 mm ID/ 8 mm thick MS Pipes. Fluid is chilled water from 7 to 25 Deg C. The Pressure on the Pipe Shall be 11 KG/cm2.  I am primarily referring 2 standards: ASME B31.3 & MSS SP-44.  B31.3 is primarily for the process Pipes. So I want to understand:

1) For chilled water can we refer any other standard other than 31.3
2)  For pipe Flanges  other than Standard of MSS SP-44 can we refer anything
3) Does IS/ BS Standard which refer flanges in Table give any reference to Pipe to pipe flange Standard

Thanking you in Anticipation

Regards,
Siril
