Dear Mr. Abhishek,
-- you can take sub size specimen provided the specimen size shall not fall below 80% the actual thickness of test coupon . i.e if you are taking specimen against each welding process involved shall not be below 80% of weld deposit @ Test temperature
if you are not able to take specimen within 80% of test coupon or each weld deposit , you need to apply temperature reduction as per code for size of the specimen you have taken
