Hi Kannayeram,

 

You may perform  warm thermal straightening. However  caution must be observed to not encroach on the lower critical (Ac1) temperature of the material, otherwise full normalizing and tempering heat treatment will be required.

 

By the way which material would be thermally straightened , P-91 or X-20?

 

AC1 for Gr-91 is typically 780 Deg C, while for X-20 it's typically 820 Deg C.

              Equipment--- WING WALL PANEL.

 

              MOC--------- Tube-SA213T91+Fin 12Cr1MoV

 

              sizes---------Tube/Dia 42X6mm thick

                                 Fin/ Width 18X6mm thick

 

After welding, there is lateral bend,  To correct it we are doing HOT FLAME CORRECTION  below Lower Critical Temp AFTER PWHT.

 

QUERY --- IS IT ADVISABLE TO DO SO, if not what is procedure.
