[MW:26169] GMAW- Spray transfer Lack of Side Wall fusion in FPW welds

I have a technical issue with GMAW- Spray transfer process. The wire is 1.2 mm dia. The joint configuration is single bevel butt joint. The weld defect is mostly Lack of Side Wall fusion. The member thickness is 12 mm. All the welds have back chipping and welding. I suggested employing stringer bead technique to improve side wall fusion. But unfortunately, many of the joints are getting rejected in Ut testing. Kindly suggest some techniques/remedy for this problem. Looking forward to your positive feedback.

Regards,

Binoj Nair
